Easy Blondie Recipe For The Holidays

This easy blondie recipe for the holidays is a perfect dessert if you need something quick, festive, and delicious! Loaded with chocolate chips and cheerful M&M's, they are a definite crowd-pleaser.

- 1/2 cup melted, salted butter
- 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar could sub regular sugar
- 2 tsps pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole wheat flour sub regular flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup red and green M&Ms
Preheat the oven to 350 °F
Melt butter and let cool until warm or room temperature.
In a medium-size bowl add your egg, egg yolk, sugar, and vanilla. Mix well.
Add in the warm melted butter.
Next, add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the bowl and mix until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and some of the M&Ms.
Pour the batter into a greased 8x8 pan.
Add the remaining M&M's on top by gently placing them in the batter.
Bake for 14 minutes on convection bake or 20 minutes on regular bake. It's done when the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool, slice, serve, and enjoy!
Storing: Blondies are best stored in an airtight tupperware container at room temperature for 3-5 days.
Freezing: After cooled and sliced, you can freeze them in a freezer bag.
