Easy Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats Recipe

This super simple chocolate rice krispie treats recipe is going to be your new favorite healthy-ish dessert if you have a sweet tooth! Made using melted chocolate chips, almond butter or peanut butter, and pure maple syrup for sweetness. The combination of ingredients is so delicious! And in 5 minutes you will have a super satisfying healthy dessert using only 6 ingredients!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond butter or unsweetened peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • dash of sea salt
  • 2.5 cups brown rice krispie cereal I use organic brown rice krispies but any rice krispie cereal will do.

Instructions
 

  • Turn the stove on medium and melt the chocolate chips and almond butter in a small pot.
  • Turn off the heat and add the syrup, vanilla, and sea salt.
  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • Add in the brown rice krispie cereal and mix until all is combined.
  • Firmly press the mixture into a rectangular or square dish.
  • Pop it in the fridge for 20 min to firm up.
  • Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

*Store the rice krispie treats in an airtight container on the counter
