I love how good food can create such fond memories. Growing up, my dad used to create these incredibly delicious homemade butterfinger blizzards for my younger brother and me. Even now, they remain my absolute favorite childhood treat, evoking such fond memories. This protein smoothie not only takes me right back to my childhood but also offers a satisfying healthy treat.

My go-to staple ingredients for delicious smoothies are frozen bananas and peanut butter. However, I usually use chocolate protein powder. But when I used the vanilla it totally surprised me by tasting like a butterfinger! Adding the hemp seeds at the end gives this smoothie a nice crunch, just like the little blended butterfinger bits in my dad’s homemade blizzard.

How is this butterfinger smoothie healthy?

This smoothie recipe is irresistible and healthy by providing an impressive 34 grams of protein! The hemp seeds contribute protein and fiber, which will leave you feeling satisfied and satiated. Furthermore, the addition of spinach gives this smoothie extra nutrients and the ripe banana adds sweetness with a creamy and thick texture.

This smoothie is a crowd pleaser, from my 4-year-old son to my husband to my picky mom lol, everyone loves this butterfinger smoothie. Don’t let the green color of this smoothie deter you, I’m telling you it’s so good and will absolutely satisfy your sweet tooth!
