With summer in full swing, we’re enjoying plenty of ice cream, snow cones, popsicles, and cold treats. But as usual, I’m always looking for new ways to put a healthier spin on recipes to pack in more nutrition. These yogurt clusters are no exception. They are cold, creamy, and nutty, with a crunchy chocolatey shell, similar to an ice cream bar. The Greek yogurt gives this dessert a good dose of protein. And the combination of the banana, peanut butter, and chocolate is a match made in heaven.

Ingredients For Chocolate-Covered Banana Clusters:

  • Greek Yogurt: The main ingredient, full-fat greek yogurt is rich and creamy.
  • Mashed Ripe Bananas: The bananas give it a sweet and creamy taste. You could substitute strawberries or another fruit instead of bananas if you want.
  • Peanut Butter: You just need a little bit, but it goes so well with the banana and chocolate. Any nut butter would be great in this recipe or you could omit it.
  • Vanilla Extract: Vanilla extract gives any dessert a fabulous taste.
  • Honey: Since this recipe calls for plain greek yogurt, this will naturally sweeten this recipe.
  • Walnuts: The nuts add healthy fats and a nice crunch but it’s completely optional.
  • Melted Chocolate: I used semi-sweet chocolate chips but feel free to use any chocolate you prefer.

This will become your new healthy summer treat!
