If you haven’t tried a mug dessert yet, you’re missing out. It’s the perfect solution when a sweet craving hits! No need to have cookies or cake in the house, simply make a dessert in a mug!
I love chocolate molten lava cake and my chocolate protein mug cake hits the spot every time! But this chocolate chip mug cookie is my absolute favorite!
I love this dessert recipe because it’s just a single serving. It’s perfect for when I want a treat but I don’t want a whole batch or box of cookies in my house. The ingredients are simple so I always have them on hand and it comes together in less than two minutes.
What You’ll Need:
- Flour: I only bake with whole wheat flour because it’s healthier and I’ve found my family and I cannot taste the difference. You could certainly use all-purpose flour for this recipe.
- Baking Powder: Gives this cookie its fluffiness and helps it to rise.
- Brown Sugar: Brown sugar will definitely give this cookie that rich cookie flavor, but any sugar will work.
- Butter: Melted for this recipe. I only have salted butter on hand but if you use unsalted, add a pinch of salt to this recipe.
- Milk: I use almond milk which will keep this recipe vegetarian, but feel free to use whatever milk you like.
- Vanilla Extract: Gives every dessert that warm dessert flavor, in my opinion.
- Chocolate Chips: I use semi-sweet for this recipe but you can use any kind you like.
